Our Collaborators
In an effort to advance our understanding and distribution of nature as medicine, NatureQuant is collaborating with a broad spectrum of entities:
L.L.Bean
L.L.Bean, an outdoor retailer, participates in Mental Health Awareness Month in May by encouraging people to spend time outside for their mental health. In 2024, the company's initiative, called "Off the Grid," clears its Instagram grid, stops posting on social media, and shares resources, tips, and tools to help people get outside. The company also partners with organizations like Mental Health America and NatureQuant to encourage participation. L.L.Bean also hosts a "Be An Outsider" challenge on the NatureDose app to help people track and reward their time outside.
REI Cooperative Action Fund
Time outside and our connection to nature is fundamental to the social, cultural and physical health and well-being of all people. But today, millions of Americans lack access to the outdoors, and far too many people do not feel a sense of safety or belonging outside.
That is why REI founded the REI Cooperative Action Fund, a community-driven nonprofit that exists to provide support for nonprofit organizations across the country doing the deep and essential work to create a more equitable outdoors for everyone.
